Vacuum Regulator Valves
Vacuum regulator valves are used to create a more constant flow of different elements in a car to reduce variability and enhance timing and efficiency. Two different types of vacuum regulator valves are used in cars. The first is a three and four port type. These are generally used in the distributor to control the vacuum advance feature. The vacuum advance is a device that is a vacuum the affects a diaphragm which rotates a breaker plate and that trigger the combustion timing to be advanced. The purpose of the vacuum advance is to make the most of the fuel mixture and get optimal power. The other type of vacuum regulator valve is a two port type. It serves to regulate the output signal and make it more regular. It corrects the detection of a difference in an actual output and a preset output and attempts to normalize it.
