Turn Signal Switch Assemlies
Turn signals are meant to let other drivers know what is intended by the operator of a car. When they don’t work, it is annoying. Worse than that, it might mean a ticket from a patrolman. Or even worse, it could cause an accident. During the yearly inspection of a car for registration, turn signals are checked out. If they don’t work, the vehicle is not passed for safe operation on the road. Turn signal switches may be the culprit when it comes to malfunctioning turn signals. The turn signal switch is what is activated when the signal wand is moved up or down to begin signaling. The signal wand is the actuator that engages the switch. The turn signal switch is the wiring that translates the mechanical action into an electrical signal that eventually turns on the flashing lights at the front and back of the vehicle.
