Tune Up Parts: Distributor Cap, Rotor & Wires
Tune ups are like checkups for a car. They should be done frequently regardless of whether or not the vehicle has any problems. They are meant to prevent any major problems and detect potential problems before they become major problems. Tune ups are completed at intermittent times during the life of the car. Many of the needs in tune ups in the past have been replaced by superior technology and care. Oil should definitely be replaced according to the manufacturer’s directions. Some high end vehicles and sport vehicles need more oil changes that other regular use vehicles. Most other parts can last up to 60,000 with the exception of the spark plugs. Older vehicles should undergo regular and frequent tune ups and will require more work than newer models. Older vehicles should have spark plugs, wires, oil filters; etc changed at least every 30,000 miles or less depending upon the part.
