Automotive Switches / Controls
No vehicle is complete without an array of switches and knobs. Switches and knobs act as controls to many of the vehicles accessories. They control the heating and cooling. They control the fan speed. They turn light on and off. They control the radio and CD player. Just about anything that needs adjustment in the cabin of the car has some kind of switch to control it. Some switches cause big problems when the brake, others are only minor inconveniences. Some require immediate attention and others only when time and money allow. Switches and controls are often fairly simple to replace when they are broken. Some require much more, however. Most controls can be repaired or replaced by removing the dash and dealing with some wiring. Some switches require special equipment or tools like steering wheel pullers to access. Some are easily repaired by amateurs, and other may require experience or the work of a professional mechanic.
