Charge & Starting Systems
The charge system and starting system are things that have not changed much in the last several decades of car design. The charge system has several parts such as the alternator, and wiring. These work together to produce the electric charge needed to run several things that are a part of a vehicle. The main job of the charging system is to keep the battery charged and to supply an electrical current to keep several other things going, like the lights. The charge system is what enables the starting system to work. The battery keeps a charge specifically to power the startup and other elements when the car is off. The starter motor gets its power from the car battery. This is the initial charge that gets everything going. After that, the alternator creates an electrical charge as the engine runs and that recharges the battery.
